For example, dealers that are a part of the Professional Numismatists Guild or PNG give consumers some peace of mind in their dealings. They know that the association represents integrity and responsibility and this helps guarantee that the coin dealer will conduct business in a similar fashion. Associations are also helpful in that when things go wrong, there is a higher authority that a consumer can talk to in order to get a resolution.
